About the Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Garage Door Installer / Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial garage doors and openers. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working at heights, and has a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and service garage doors, openers, tracks, springs, and related components
Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and perform necessary repairs
Safely operate tools, ladders, and equipment while working at various heights
Read and interpret basic construction diagrams and technical instructions
Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients on-site
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company vehicle
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic construction experience a plus but not required
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and perform physical labor
Preferred Skills:
Experience with power tools and hand tools
Knowledge of garage door systems (training provided for the right candidate)
Strong work ethic and dependability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:
This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, frequent climbing, and physical activity. Safety is a top priority, and proper training and equipment will be provided.
